Hip Tattoo Designs

Hip Tattoo Designs

Hip tattoos have really be growing in popularity over the last few years. More and more women are getting tattooed these days then at any other time in history and the growth of women getting tattooed has lead to many new placements for tattoos and also many new design choices. While hip tattoos are predominantly done for women some men also get great looking hip tattoo designs. This article will look at some of the popular design choices for hip tattoos for both guys an gals. It will also discuss the pain level associated with hip tattoos and some information about the cost of a hip tattoo and finding an artist.

Popular Design Choices

Of course hip tattoos are growing in popularity. For women the location is a very sexy place to get a tattoo design. It is also a popular location because it can easily be hidden by wearing a shirt and the right pair of pants but then just as easily can be shown off with a pair of hip hugger jeans and a short shirt.

Popular Designs For Women

Some of the most common design choices for hip tattoo are fairies, flowers, butterflies, and stars. These all work great in the hip area because they can be sized from really small to really big and therefore can cover as much of the hip area as one wants.

Popular Design Choices For Men

Some popular hip tattoos for men are brass knuckles, swallows, Celtic knot work, guns, shamrocks and crosses. Whatever tattoo you choose is really a personal choice. However, typically men get bigger tattoo designs and more masculine looking designs such as a tribal or Celtic tattoo.

Pain Level

One thing to consider before getting a hip tattoo is the pain level. Pain level is a difficult thing to gage as each person feels and responds to pain differently. While one person might state they didn’t even feel that tattoo at all another person might be agonizing over th pain. However the most common thought about the relative pain level of a certain location for a tattoo is based on the amount of fatty tissue or muscle in relation t the bone. So it can typically be stated that tattoos done in a location where the skin and bone are close to each other are going to be more painful to get done then an area where there is a ton of muscle or fatty tissue. Therefore a hip tattoo is a location that is relatively painful. It is similar to getting a foot or wrist tattoo since in all of those locations the bone is very close to the skin.

Cost and Artist

The cost of a hip tattoo is usually not that expensive in terms of tattoos. Now it can vary greatly depending on the artist that you work with, how busy the shop is and many other factors. However hip tattoo tend to be much smaller then tattoos in other locations and therefore there are often less expensive. A hip tattoo can easily run between $50 to $125 dollars. The other factor to consider when thinking about cost is if you go with some pre-drawn flash design or custom tattoo art work. You will have to make the choice yourself but a custom deign is almost always more expensive then just going with some already done flash design.

Choosing your tattoo artist is something that should also be done carefully and with a great deal of consideration. All to often a person walks into a tattoo shop and simple works with whatever tattoo artist is not busy at the time. Unfortunately you are not going to get the best art work or tattoo design this way. Instead it can be much more beneficial to take your time and visit a lot of tattoo shops and talk with a lot of tattoo artists. Ask to look at their portfolio and talk to them about some of the designs and tattoos they have done in the past. By talking to them nd reviewing their art work you want to find someone that has a style similar to what you are looking for. It is also important to find a tattoo artist that is going to listen to your ideas and give you feedback on your design choices and options.

Foot Tattoos Possibly The Hottest New Trend In Feminine Tattoo Designs

There is something just really sexy about foot tattoos on women. There are some of the most popular designs right now. They are are among some of the most frequently requested designs for women and it is easy to see why. It used to be that women would go for the lower back tattoo design however since many now feel that this has been over played and done too much there are many women who are choosing to go with something more unique and original and their journey for an original tattoo seems to be leading them frequently to foot tattoo designs.

If you are contemplating getting a foot tattoo design then you will want to know more about them. While these designs are super sexy and can make a great tattoo they also have some downsides you should be aware of.

The Good Things About Foot Tattoo Designs

If you have been contemplating getting a foot tattoo design then the chances are you should go for it. There are many advantages to getting one of these great tattoo designs. First of all the look super sexy and can be the perfect accent to a very sexy and intimate part of a women’s body. There are also a ton of great designs that work well on the foot. Many of the more feminine designs such as a butterfly, fairy, and flowers or vines all work very well on the foot. They are also a great place to get a tattoo because they are easy to cover up in a professional setting where tattoos are not acceptable. Then when you want to show off your tattoo it is very easy to wear a pair of sandals and display that tattoo. It really makes the perfect combination of hidden when needed and then being able to reveal your rebellious side when chosen.

Popular Design Choices

You should always choose a tattoo design because it is something you really want and not just pick one because the flash was on the wall or because you heard they are popular. However, with that caution it is very common for people to look at what other’s are getting for their tattoo design. It can be helpful to look at other peoples tattoo choices to help formulate what design you want. Some of the most popular foot tattoos are butterfly tattoos, fairy tattoos, angel tattoos, star tattoos and flowers of course. Many people also choose a feminine and delicate tribal design that is abstract but starts on the top of the foot and can extend up onto the ankle.

The Disadvantages Of Foot Tattoos

There are really only a few disadvantages with foot tattoos however they should be considered and thought about before choosing to get such a tattoo design. One of the disadvantages is they can be a pretty painful tattoo to get. It is hard to keep the foot still for a long period of time and some spots on the top of the foot can elicit a sort of knee jerk response where the pain is enough that you want to yank your foot away. So the jerk response coupled with the pain level of a foot tattoo can make it difficult to get. It can also take a longer time to heal such a tattoo. Often feet have to placed in shoes and while the tattoo heals it can be pretty sore and difficult to keep in a pair of shoes. Especially if you have to wear uncomfortable or tight shoes for work.

If you are considering getting a foot tattoo then you should go for it. However take your time and find a tattoo artist that can work with the ideas that you want to incorporate into your design.

The Lower Back Tattoo Controversy: Trashy Or Sexy

Lower Back Tattoo Sexy and Feminine Or Trashy And Overdone?

Well obviously one of the biggest trends in the field of tattooing over the last 10 years at most has been lower back tattoos. These were insanely popular when women first started getting them. There ere a ton of women flocking into tattoo shops to get their feminine and sexy lower back tattoo design. Often they would feature flowers, butterflies, fairies and other designs that girls or women would like. However, today there are many stating that these tattoos have been totally over done. There are even some not so flattering slang names coming out to refer to these tattoos. This particular design even spawned a whole new type of jeans to be designs. Low rise designs were the perfect fit and combination with a lower back tattoo. With the new low rise styles jeans you would be able to show off that incredible tattoo that you just go. Of course it is a little bit of the chicken and egg question which one came first the lower back tattoo or the low rise jeans but anyway these two went hand in hand like peanut butter and jelly.

What this article proposes to do is look at both sides and some of the reasons behind them. It will of course be up to you to cast your own vote and always make your own choices and decisions about your tattoos. After all it is 100% your body and the best tattoos are the ones you get because you really want them and you have some inner yearning and desire to get inked permanently on your body. Don’t ever get a tattoo just because you think it is popular and in the reverse don’t shy away from a tattoo you really want just because someone told you they were lame.

Reasons They Are Trashy

So here are some of the arguments and ideas why they would be considered trashy. Of course this is just some of the reasons and others of course might have their own reasons. First and foremost the mere fact that these have been done so much has added negatively to them. I mean everyone and their sister has them now. It used to be really sexy to see a hot looking female with a pair of low rise jeans and a super sexy lower back tattoo. However now that everyone and their sister has one you find lady’s that really should not be showing off that area of their body. It is not super sexy to see someone’s thong when they really don’t have the body to show it off in that way. Sometimes a little mystery and a little left to desire can be way more enticing. So showing it all and especially when you don;t have the body to show it all is just a huge turn off. So everyone know has one and really many of the people that have gotten over back tattoos really shouldn’t have.

They are no longer original and a big thing that makes tattoos cool is when they are unique, original ideas that express something about yourself. This makes them interesting and intriguing and gets people to take a second look. These types of person tattoos engage a person to learn more because it says a little bit about your personality. Well, when it is just some silly flash that everyone else has then there is not much interesting to it.

Also all of the slang terms that have developed around these tattoos has detracted from them and made them way more trashy. For example a target for (you know what), a tramp stamp, butt antlers and etc. In fact there are so many slang terms that are very derogatory and many very funny but in the end this has really made the tattoo much more trashy then sexy.

Reasons They Are Hot, Sexy and Feminine

Well the only reason you should ever get a tattoo is because you are dying to get one. It should be something personal and something you have always desired. Not because it was popular or you think they are cute. Those desires will wear off after six months. However, if you have some inner connection and feeling with the tattoo design this desire will not wear off so quickly. So if it is something you have always wanted then it might be a good ideas to go ahead and get one.

They are still very sexy when done well and if the person has the right body shape to show off. Again a little bit of a sexy area of the body being shown off is very sexy. When the tattoo just peeks out above the jeans it is incredibly enticing and captures any guys interest. It is like a door that is left ajar you want to look in and see more. Well with a lower back tattoo peering out you want to see more and this can peek ones curiosity.

Last but not least this is a great area to get a tattoo because it is such aa great fit of a tattoo design and a very sexy area on a women’s body. The lower back and the rectangular shape of the area just lends itself perfectly to a tattoo design. Plus they are very easy to keep hidden while a work if necessary and then also very easy to show off. Thus makes for a great tattoo design.

What Do You Think? Should You?

So what do you think. Where do you fall sexy or trashy? Run out and get one today or go and get the one your got removed with some laser treatment. It would be great to hear what people think. So should you go out and get one? That is really a personal choice. Just a hunch though if you are looking for an article to decide for you then it is a good bet you should NOT get one. However if you have already been wanting one forever and are looking for great designs to get done then maybe a lower back tattoo is for you.
